abbreviations

Unless otherwise stated, In this treaty:

(one) "Trademark authority"Means the body designated by a Contracting Party to be responsible for trademark registration;

(two) "register"Refers to the registration of a trademark by the trademark authority;

(three) "Apply for"Means an application for registration;

(four) Whenever mentioned"people"It shall be understood as referring to natural and legal persons;

(five) "Registered holder"Means the person listed as the registered holder in the trade mark Register;

(six) "Trade mark register"Means the complete set of information kept by the trademark authority, It includes all the contents of the registration and all the entry information about the registration, Regardless of the carrier in which such data is stored;

(seven) "Paris convention"Refers to the 1883 years 3 month 20 Amended and amended after it was signed in Paris "Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property" ;

(eight) "Nice classification"Refers to the 1957 years 6 month 15 Amended and amended after being signed in Nice "Nice Agreement on the International Classification of Goods and Services for Trademark Registration" ;

(nine) "Contracting party"Means any State or intergovernmental organization acceding to this Treaty;

(ten) Whenever mentioned"Letter of approval"Shall be understood to include acceptance and consent;

(eleven) "The Organization"The World Intellectual Property Organization;

(twelve) "Director-General"The Director-General of the Organization;

(thirteen) "Implementation rules"Refers to those under this Treaty referred to in Article 17 "Implementation rules" .
